SCHMIDT provides the perfect soundtrack for just that – a soundtrack that lives up to likes of the great Marlene Dietrich. She translates her inspirations and stories into a cutting-edge soundscape – jazz influenced pop. SCHMIDT makes music that touches the hidden longings of young women: fragile, but also independent and daring.
SCHMIDT's debut album is set to be released in February 2012. With her EP "Above SinCity", we now get an early glance at what this impressive young lady has in store. "Above SinCity" is coming out on October 21st.
The first 3 tracks were co-written with Schmidt, and the rest of the album was produced by Guy with Richard Flack
